Neighborhood Note:

Nearly 30 years ago, The Glen began with a grouping of 4 large trees near the top of the lawn as you entered The Glen. One by one, these have come down. The remaining pine tree is also diseased and about to come down. Large rotted roots from these trees have now raised up into the grass and planting areas. This whole area will need to be reworked. In order to maintain our property values and to keep an appealing entrance to The Glen, a new landscape plan is needed. The removal of grass is a water issue. Cal Am has been on the property and made their recommendations; grass uses too much water and we need to remove grass both in front of The Glen and at various spots about The Glen, or pay more for our water. A landscaping plan is an attempt to accomplish a much needed upgrade to our entrance area. The plan is a first attempt and suggestions are welcomed. The first discussions will take place at our January meeting.
