Architectural Control Form

The following comments explain the purpose of the Architectural Control Form and how it should be used.

Changes that affect the outside appearance of a unit must be approved by the Architectural Control Committee. (Article VI, section 1, page 8 of the CC&Rs).

A request to make any such changes must be submitted in writing to the Committee before any work on the project is started. The sample form is designed to assist you explain the changes you desire. If this form is not used, your written request needs to cover the points in the form. Please include any drawings or other printed matter that will assist the Committee in understanding the changes you wish to make.

The Committee will make its decision in writing and send a copy to you. If you disagree with the decision of the Committee, you may appeal to the Board of Directors of The Glen. The Board has 30 days to rule on your appeal. (Article VI, section 3, page 9 of the CC&Rs).

The Association will not be responsible for repair or replacement of any part of your “project” due to problems from installation or damage from natural causes. This limitation on the Association's liability applies to you as well as to all future owners of your unit. At its discretion, the Association may record with the County Recorder’s Office any release signed by you.
