BOARD NEWS

The 2004-2005 Board of Directors held its first full meeting on Tuesday, November 16, 2004, at 71 Glen Lake Drive. All directors were present. Wolfgang Haas advised the Board it needs to adopt a policy regarding metal garage doors which do not match the Navajo white paint scheme. Rodger Axt submitted a report from the Gardening Committee. The Board approved a proposal from SunRain to sweep the roofs and clean the gutters on the two-story units for $600. The Board received a report from Dennis Sullivan indicating the chimneys are in bad shape and must be sealed. The Board passed a motion to have Ekim seal the chimneys which have not yet been painted. The Board received a report that 17 units in The Glen (30%) are rentals. The Board deferred action on limiting the number of rentals or the type of rental (e.g., less than one year vs. more than one year; only one rental per year). The Board agreed to meet with John Garvic, an attorney, to discuss amending the CC&Rs. The Board approved the decorating of certain common areas (by the lake, the bridge, the mailboxes, the lawn in front of #16). Grossman advised there was a problem in the annual election in that four proxies did not designate a proxy holder and one proxy was signed in 2002 and those proxies could have made the difference in his election over Nancy Budd. The Board passed a motion referring this issue to Mr. Garvic.

GARAGE DOORS

Garage doors must be Navajo White in color.

NEW BANKING ACCOUNTS

MCC has changed banks. If you are on Auto-payment, change the bank designation.

GARDENING REQUESTS

Any requests for the gardeners must go through the Gardening Committee. Leave a note in The Glen mailbox across from unit #98. Include your name, phone #, and unit #, and someone will get back to you. If you are unable to get to the Glen mailbox, call the Glen phone # 642-2441.

RULES ENFORCEMENT

Some residents are not complying with our Rules and Regulations. If you do not want to see the Rules Enforcement Committee resurrected, please comply with our Rules and Regulation and ask your fellow neighbors to comply.

GARBAGE BINS

Do not put garbage bins onto the street until Tuesday evening. Do not mix recyclables with non-recyclables. Do not use the gardeners’ bins unless you are putting in plantings. They have to remove non-gardening items from the bins.

DOUBLE-PANE WINDOWS

If you are having a problem with fogging in your double-pane window, let Mrs. Lee know in #52.
