All Board members were in attendance. Residents Chuck Adams (#3), Pat and Sandy Claus (#7), Wolfgang Haas (#11), and Rick Busman (#71) also attended. President’s Column by Candy Pollock As The Glen continues to age, maintenance issues increase. Jack Rutherford does an excellent job overseeing all maintenance; identifying problems and then getting them fixed. There is a lot going on, so please be patient if you have requested something. If you need to leave a message for Jack, remember to call the phone line, 642-2441. Jim Ray is spending much time with the financials of The Glen. New resident Rick Busman has assisted Jim. His profession makes him most qualified for this, and it's nice to see new residents get involved so quickly. Thanks Rick! The Glen may soon have its own web site. This will be a place to store documents and files. It will also be a place realtors, owners, or prospective buyers can get information on The Glen, including the by-laws and rules and regulations. Thank you to Glen Grossman for the work involved with this. Last month brought us daylight savings time. There is always much controversy over this; but I for one love it! Warmer weather and longer daylight hours are a perfect invitation to get outdoors. There is already an increase in walkers...myself included! I'm trying to get out there and join the regulars that seem to whip around the circle in no time;..three times around and you have gone a mile! The sights are pleasant and the socializing is fun! See you about! Candy REMINDERS * Everyone who serves on a committee or on the board is a VOLUNTEER. Please do not disturb their personal privacy. That is why we have a telephone number for The Glen. * Do not interfere with the gardeners doing their trimming. We are trying to maintain some semblance of uniformity of appearance. * SLOW DOWN! The Glen speed limit is still 15 mph. * On non-garbage days, garbage cans belong indoors; not on the street or on the side of your unit. * It is not too late to sign up for The Glen Directory. Call 642-2441 and request a release. We will get one to you. * Anyone who wants to volunteer to work on The Glen website, please call 642-2441 and let us know.
