3.0   AGENDA REVIEW / RESIDENT REQUESTS – none

4.0   APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Motion by Glen Grossman, seconded by Betty Lauritsen, to accept minutes from 12/13/05. Motion carried.

5.0   REPORTS

5.01 FINANCIAL REPORTS –The balance sheet as presented by Joseph Chaffers was reviewed and accepted. Glen Grossman was asked to make a recommendation at the next meeting about moving the SJNB reserve to something with better return. Motion by Glen Grossman that the Wells Fargo note be moved over to a ten-month note. The motion was seconded by Candy Pollock. Motion carried.

5.02 WELCOMING REPORT – Augie Louis reported there was a new tenant for unit #100. President Rugar asked Director Lauritsen to assume duties of having this committee report to her.

5.03 WEBSITE REPORT – Glen Grossman reported that all insurance policies are on the web, as well as recommended changes to the CC&Rs. President Rugar requested that the voucher form be revised so it fits on one page. Glen Grossman asked Stephanie Lee to resend the Emergency Preparedness questionnaire to him so it can be posted on the website.

5.04 GARDENING REPORT –Candy Pollock reported that the gardeners are doing a good job, replacing plants as needed. Residents reported that when doing routine cleanup, the gardeners seem to be missing dam area. Rodger Axt said that trees need to be replanted to replace those that have been removed.

5.05 RULE COMPLIANCE REPORT

Candy Pollock reported there continues to be problem with dogs off leash. She will place an article in the Glen Gazette about it. There was further discussion and all residents were urged that when they see a violation, it should be calmly addressed. . .at the time. If violations occur after that, action may be warranted.

5.06 MAINTENANCE REPORT

The drainage problem between Units 32 and 34 seems to have been caused by plant roots.

Lynn Bomburger volunteered to "tend" the pump in Jack Rugar’s absence.

Jack Rugar recommended that a sign be posted at the gate entrance that "NO TRUCKS OVER 30’ ARE ALLOWED." Roger Axt volunteered to get a sign made.

5.07 LAKE REPORT – Jack Rugar said it is full. Rodger Axt will research if it needs dredging or other repair. Jack suggested that we look at putting a "head" on all the fountains to aerate them more.

5.08 WILDLIFE CONTROL REPORT – Jack Rugar reported there were no critters. He is closing the traps while he is gone.

5.09 ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL REPORT – Ken Morley reported on the work on #26’s patio. Joseph Chaffers was asked to write a letter to the owner stating that work cannot begin until the Architectural Control Committee has received the necessary paperwork.

5.10 AD HOC COMMITTEES:

5.10.1 Document Revision – Stephanie Lee volunteered to retype the CC&Rs so that revisions might be done electronically in the future. Changes will require a majority vote of HoA members. (This should be placed on the next meeting’s agenda as "Old Business.") 

5.11 NEWSLETTER ITEMS: Candy Pollock will highlight a "Rule" in each issue of the newsletter. She requested that ideas for the issue be emailed to her.

6.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS – none

7.0 NEW BUSINESS –

7.01 Fence across from Units 90-94 – Jack Rugar updated us on the work being done by the fence across from Units 90-94. The City has inspected the work at his request. Candy Pollock suggested there might be a drainage issue that also needs to be addressed.

7.02 Leak in Unit #54 – Jack Rugar reported that Scudder Roofing has repaired the leak. The Realtors’ representative agreed to pay for it.

7.03 Bank Signature Cards – Glen Grossman reported the World Savings and Monterey County Bank signature cards need to be done in person. He requested Joseph Chaffers be a signer on the CD. The request was not approved.

7.04 Letter to PG City Council regarding trucks over 12’ – Glen Grossman recommended we ask the City Council to adopt an ordinance banning trucks over 12’ in length from parking on Piedmont and Moreland Avenues. After discussion, no action was approved.

8.0 CORRESPONDENCE – None

9.0 FUTURE BOARD MEETING / ADJOURNMENT – 02/21/06 at the Forest Grove HOA Clubhouse, Forest Lodge Road, Pacific Grove, CA.
