The Glen of Pacific Grove
Gardening Report

November 16, 2004

A full gardening report was given to the Board at the annual meeting on November 9, 2004.

On November 6, 2004, Gordon Dill, a horticulturalist, walked the complex and advised us on items such as fertilizing, pruning, areas to be replanted, and dividing plants and moving them to new locations.

Robert’s Tree Service did two days of work, removed two dead trees, and pruned limbs and thinned out trees.

The hill behind #11, 13, 15, and 17 has been cleared of dead and fallen limbs and the drainage ditch cleaned.

For the next newsletter, please advise residents to put gardening requests in writing and include unit #, contact name and phone number. Requests should be put in The Glen mailbox.

We have tentatively set up a meeting with Susan McDonald-Brodey for the week after Thanksgiving to discuss budget, replanting, and her contract, which expired in June. She has informed us she will be raising her rates. The Gardening committee requests that a member of the Board of Directors be at the meeting and would suggest Glen Grossman as we will be discussing her contract and insurance.
