5.07     RULES ENFORCEMENT COMMITTEE:  Grossman reports #50 is parking a     Ford Mustang in Guest Parking and #71 is still letting her dog off the leash.  Violation letters to issue.  #5 has non-conforming brown window shades on the    second floor.

5.09     STAFF REPORT:  no report

6.0       UNFINISHED BUSINESS

6.02     CPA REPORT:  deferred  OPEN

6.03     EARTHQUAKE INSURANCE:  deferred  OPEN

6.04     REPAIRS:  Dennis Sullivan reported that many of the second-floor bay windows have no protection from the elements due to the design of the joints (which prevent applying caulking) and the lack of an overhang. He has spent the last two months repairing those window sills most in need of repair.  Other window sills will need attention next year.  Additionally, the bottom of some French doors are wearing out.  He suggests installing an elasto-merac patch on the bottom of the French doors.  Finally, the paint on the trim boards along the roof is starting to peel as is some of the paint on the garage doors. OPEN

6.05     CONTRACT UPDATES:  deferred  OPEN

6.06     RV PARKING:  basically resolved but MCC needs to check P.G. Ordinances to see if parking of RVs on city streets is regulated and if not, request the City Council adopt an ordinance prohibiting the parking of RVs on city streets. OPEN

6.07     LANDSCAPE CONTRACT:  deferred in Candy’s absence.  OPEN

7.0       NEW BUSINESS

7.01     CLOSING SJNB MONEY MARKET ACCOUNT.  deferred

7.02     SIGNS:  Rutherford reports The Glen now has new signs posted re speed,       parking, etc.

7.03     #59:  Mrs. Edwards’ back yard is a mess (broken pots, etc.).  Capra advises Glen Heights has complained about it in the past.  Rutherford will handle it.  General discussion re common areas.  Rugar feels only the gardeners should be gardening common areas.  Capra advises Mrs. Lee (#104) never received permission to plant what she planted.  Grossman requests Susan MacDonald advise us whether grass is cheaper to maintain than shrubbery and the cost to convert to grass (including the cost to alter the irrigation system for grass).  Rutherford to obtain that information from Susan and advise the Board.  OPEN

7.04     PEDESTRIAN GATE:  Chuck Adams informs the Board that John Shipley is            repairing the pedestrian gate but the post is not secure and will need replacement       in the near future.

7.05     GARAGE DOORS: Chuck Adams advises that the board of his other complex have approved certain types of garage doors which weigh less than ours do and allow greater clearance.  Purchase is by the owner, not by the association, and is optional. Rutherford presents certain design and color types.  Motion by ? seconded by ? to authorize Rutherford to present prices and recommendations to the Architectural Control Committee for their approval.  Motion passes.

7.06     TREE at #10:  Rutherford reports the camellia tree adjacent to the patio at #10 was removed because Susan MacDonald said it was dead.  The owner wasn’t notified of the removal. Owner upset and wrote requesting the association pay $250 towards a replacement camellia tree.  Per Rutherford, Susan recommends against another camellia tree because they are messy trees.  Per Rutherford, the tree was on common area, not within #10’s exclusive use area.  Rutherford to discuss other tree types with Susan and advise the Board.  OPEN

7.07     TRESPASSERS:  Chuck Adams advises that kids are coming into The Glen   from above the tennis court and that the Board should consider installing fencing       around that area.  Virginia reports one morning before dawn she found five kids        sitting on the sidewalk, one of them drinking.  Police were called.  OPEN
